er war jedesmal mein Gastgeber wenn ich in Quito war und er passte auch auf die Kleine auf als ich auf Galapagos war.

83 Jahre alt und Topfit. Danke für alles!!!

Von den Galapagos brachte ich mir eine Holzschildkröte mit, die ich auf meinen Kelm klebte. Leider, leider ging der Helm mit Brille und Handschuhen in Peru verloren :-(

From the Galapagos-islands I brought a wooden-turtle which I glued on my helmlet. Unfortenatly I lost this helmlet with the glases and my gloves in peru :-(

Eine geile Landschaft, sehr trocken aber schön. Straßen noch immer 1A und so gut wie keine Sau unterwegs

Awesome landscape, pretty dry but beautiful. Roads are still 1A, best quality and there was no pig on the road

Die einzige Sau die ich sah, die hing und schmeckte gut. Wenigstens kann man hier noch erkennen welches Tier im Topf ist. Besser als Plastikfolienfleisch.

The one and only pig I saw was hanging and tasted quite good. In the end is good to see what kind of meet you will eat. Better than plastc-packed-meet.

Cuenca heißt Becken, weil die Stadt zwischen zwei Andensträngen in einem Becken liegt

Cuenca means sinc, because the city is placed between two strings of the andes.

 Eine sehr schöne und histirische Stadt

A quite nice and historic city

Ein Held der Stadt ist Jefferson Perez, ein Leichtathlet der 1996 olympisches Gold in 20km gehen in Atlanta gewann. Weil er zum Volkshelden wurde lief er nach den Spielen 459km von Quito zu Fuß hier hin nach Hause.

A hero of Cuenca is Jefferson Perez, a athelete who wan 1996 olympic gold in 20km walking. He was a hero for ecuador, when the olympic games ended he walked back home from Quito to here 459km (285miles)

Im allgemeinen ist die Stadt restauriert worden

Manchmal muss jedoch noch dran geschraubt werden...

Somewere they still have to fix a bit...

Und manchmal wärs schön wenn die Nachbarn Freunde wären...

Sometimes I would be nice when the neighbours were friends...

 Mais ist das wichtigste Lebensmittel. Brot und Bier werden in den Anden aus Mais gemacht...

Korn is the most important food in the andes. They make bread and beer out of it...

Das spannendste an Loja war der Laden mit den LML Rollern

Von außen wie meine, aber vier Tackt.

The most exiting I saw in Loja was the shop with the LML Scooters

Er ging bergig weiter, die letzten 250km vor Peru

Andes again, the last 250km infront of Peru

Es war wieder trocken, lustig und kurvig. Geiles cruisen...

It was dry again, funny and twisting roads. Just cruisin..

Dann kam Wald, abgefahren. Wald in der Steppe, die Bäume haben keine Blätter?!

The next landscape was forest, crazy. Forest in the desert. The trees don´t have leaves?!

Schaut genau hin, der Stamm und die Äste sind grün!

Photosynthese durch das grün im Stamm. Die Natur haut mich immer wieder um. Unglaublich, zumindestens für mich!

 Es war ein unerwartet trockenes aber auch unerwartetes schönes Finale in Ecuador!

It was a unexpected dry and unexpected beautiful final in Ecuador!
